Overview

Based on the harrowing novel by Uzodinma Iweala, this powerful drama follows the experiences of Agu, a young child forced to become a soldier fighting in the brutal civil war of an unnamed West African country. When his family is torn apart and his village destroyed, Agu is recruited by a charismatic and manipulative warlord known as the Commandant.
